The question your customers keep asking, answered on video
For owners and general managers of plumbing and HVAC, roofing and exteriors, residential electrical and remodeling companies across DC, Maryland and Virginia. Landscaping, masonry and carpet cleaning companies use the same approach.
VideoFunker is self-serve software that turns a short brief into presenter video: AI drafts the script, the business approves it, and a lifelike presenter delivers it on camera. VideoFunker does not film anyone, does not post on anyone's behalf, and is not an agency on retainer.
What video does VideoFunker make for a home-service trades company?
A short video in which a lifelike AI presenter answers one question your customers ask again and again, in your company's name and in your own words. The owner or general manager types the answer as a brief, approves the script, and VideoFunker renders it. Nobody films your crew, your trucks or a job site.
Your office already knows these questions. They come up on the phone, at the kitchen table during an estimate, and in the reply to every quote. One clear answer, made once and approved by you, can be sent every time the question comes up.
Which customer questions make good videos for plumbing, HVAC, roofing or electrical work?
The ones your office answers every week. What a maintenance visit includes. What happens between signing a quote and the crew arriving. How a repair is priced compared with a replacement. Whether the company handles the permit. The answer has to come from you: VideoFunker drafts the wording, not the policy.
Who decides what the video says?
The owner or general manager. You type the question and your answer in plain sentences, or add a page from your own website so its text is used as context. AI drafts a script from that, you edit and approve it, and only then does anything render. Nobody at VideoFunker writes the script for you.
Where should a trades company use the video?
On the company website, next to the service the question is about, and in the follow-up message your team sends after a quote. A homeowner comparing two written quotes can watch your answer before calling back. VideoFunker does not post anything: your team downloads the video on a paid plan and places it.
Can the video go on a Google Business Profile?
It is not built for that. Google allows Business Profile videos up to 30 seconds long at 720p or higher, but Google's tips for posting media to Maps say relevant photos and videos are created at the location, and advise avoiding imagery created by other parties. A presenter video is not footage from your location.
Will the video bring in calls or jobs?
There is no promise that it will. VideoFunker's terms say: "We do not guarantee views, followers, reach, replies, meetings or revenue." What the video does is give the same clear answer every time a customer asks. Whether that changes anything for your company depends on where you place it and on your market.
Can the presenter play a customer giving a review?
No, and it should not. The FTC says its reviews and testimonials rule has no blanket ban on AI avatars, but avatar testimonials are prohibited if the underlying testimonials are fake or false, and avatars can still be deceptive under the FTC Act. Use the presenter for your own explanations, offers and process, never as a customer.
What does VideoFunker cost for a trades business?
Paid plans are $29 to $149 a month, by plan, in US dollars, and annual plans are billed at ten times the monthly price. The free account makes a 30-second watermarked preview with no download, so you see a finished video before you decide to buy. Free and Starter videos carry a small Made with VideoFunker credit.

What it does not do
- It does not film your crew, your vans, your work or your customers.
- It does not post to your website, your social accounts or your Business Profile.
- It does not bring in calls or jobs on its own, and nothing on this page says it will.
- It does not make customer reviews or testimonials, real or invented.
- It is not your own face. If customers already know you on camera, keep filming the things only you can show, and use the presenter for the repeated explanations.
